Plan your day to ensure you don’t miss any of the sessions you want to attend.
In order to get the most from your day we recommend that you take time to plan your visit. There is a lot to see and do so we have produced a sample open day planner to help you get started. By planning your day you will ensure that you don’t miss any of the sessions you want to attend.
You will need a PDF reader such as Adobe Reader (downloadable from Adobe) to view PDF file(s). PDF files open in a new window.
All available sessions are listed in the Open Day Programme which you will receive in advance of the open day. Most sessions are repeated at least twice so you should be able to fit everything in. We recommend that you prioritise the subject sessions you want to attend first and then fit the general sessions and tours around them.
Some sessions require visitors to book a place in advance while other places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Sessions that need to be pre-booked will be highlighted on the open day registration form. Where sessions are very popular, we may need to limit entry to one student plus one guest, or to students only.
Our open days run from 10am until 4pm.
Parking on campus is limited, especially during open days. We therefore encourage visitors to use public transport wherever possible, as we cannot guarantee that parking will be available on campus or in the immediate vicinity.
On arrival, there is no need to register or sign in so please feel free to go to your chosen activities as soon as you arrive.
Throughout the day student ambassadors (purple tops) and event staff (turquoise tops) will be more than happy to help you.
Manchester is a vibrant and exciting city to live and study in. The city centre is only a short walk or bus ride from Oxford Road so if you find that you have some spare time at the end of the day we encourage you to have a look.
