Gap years and deferred entry

The majority of The University of Manchester’s degree programmes are happy to accept applications from students wishing to defer their entry by one year, especially if they have particular plans for the year (ie to gain relevant work experience or improve language skills).

Students are advised to check with each discipline area prior to making any application (or as soon as they have decided that this is what they wish to do) in order to assess the programme’s particular view on this increasingly popular option.
