Our hands-on, interactive programme of work with primary learners introduces young children to the theme and vocabulary of higher education; it allows them to meet current students and staff and promotes the idea that educational progression is achievable and accessible.

Through this work we are forging strong links with local communities and presenting real opportunities for primary schools to actively engage with higher education and its resources.

The Children's University of Manchester is the overarching term for a coordinated set of activities and web-based resources targeted at Key Stage 2 learners. We aim to provide an insight into, and awareness of, higher education through exploration of the people, the subjects and the social/cultural aspects of university.
