Recruiters target The University of Manchester because our graduates are highly employable. In fact, according to recent research we are the university most often targeted by Britain's top graduate employers ('The Graduate Market in 2012', High Flyers Research).

Graduate destinations data collected by the University reveals that in 2009/10 73% of Manchester graduates who got jobs went straight into graduate level employment. The average salary for graduates from The University of Manchester was £21,000, with 11 graduates walking straight into jobs commanding a six-figure salary. A further 75 Manchester graduates picked up more than £50,000 as a starting salary last year.

Our Careers Service offers advice and information on a range of careers issues, and is consistently voted best in the UK by both students and employers.

As a student, and for three years after you graduate, you will have full access to all the facilities at the Careers Service. We work hard on your behalf to maintain long-established relationships with business and industry. As a result, there are more employers recruiting on our campus than at any other university in the UK – an impressive 75,000 vacancies from 13,000 companies.
