Anna Dawe

Anna joined the Board of Governors in 2022.

Anna has had over 25 years experience of working within further education. Starting her career as a law lecturer, Anna has been a senior leader within the sector for 15 years working in colleges in Greater Manchester and Merseyside. Her current role is CEO/Principal at Wigan and Leigh College, a large general further education college specialising in post-16 technical education.

Working in further education Anna understands the value of technical education and the significant contribution it can make to regional and national economic prosperity. Through her work as a member of Wigan Enterprise Board and Wigan Employment & Skills Board she collaborates with the public and private sector to progress economic growth and development within the borough and as Chair of the GM Colleges Group works closely with partner colleges to deliver Greater Manchester’s skills agenda.

Anna brings knowledge and understanding of the GM skills landscape, devolved skills budgets and delivery of higher education in a further education setting.
