Book launch ‘In Search of Climate Politics’ on 8th February

In search for climate politics

Come join us on Tuesday 8th February 2022 from 15:30 – 17:30 to discuss the new book by Matthew Paterson, Professor of International Politics and interim director of the Sustainable Consumption Institute. You can sign up here.

The book asks an oddly neglected question – In what ways is climate change political? Drawing on analyses of diverse initiatives and conflicts around climate change in Ottawa, Canada, regarding renewable energy development, urban densification, and within specific institutions like the University of Ottawa, the book develops a distinctive account of in what ways climate change is intrinsically political, and how understanding those political qualities can help us pursue successful responses to climate change more effectively.

The launch will be animated by a short presentation by Matthew Paterson, and then a Question and Answer period led by Rebecca Willis, Professor in Energy and Climate Governance at Lancaster University.

This event will be held both in person and online. For those who would like to attend online, Zoom instructions will be shared via email, ahead of the event.

We invite in person attendees to join us for a free drinks reception, following the talk.
