Chemical Engineering Green Impact success

As part of the University's social responsibility agenda, the Green Impact scheme awards which are in their ninth year, have just taken place. A record number of submissions from the School for 2017/18; in total 15 green teams covering laboratories and office spaces participated.

We are delighted to announce that the School achieved 11 awards; 5 gold,1 silver and 5 bronze. Huge congratulations to the following office and lab teams:

Gold Award

Silver Award

  • CEAS D42 – LABS

Bronze Award

  • CEAS B9 Green Modelling
  • CEAS ESO Green Impact
  • CEAS Sustainable Industrial Systems
  • CEAS CCAPPE Green Lab
  • Green Technicians

The Head of School, Christopher Hardacre said "Congratulations to all the teams who entered the Green Impact awards. This is an exceptional outcome and reflects the dedication and expertise of all the staff and students involved."

We are hoping to have even more entries next year and we need more staff to get involved. The scheme is open to all members of staff at the University and is a great starting point to become more sustainable in the workplace, as well as supporting the sustainability agenda on campus.
