COVID-19 Rapid Response webinar now available
The NIHR Older People and Frailty Policy Research Unit (OPFPRU) carried out a series of critical rapid response research projects for the Department of Health and Social Care in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Wednesday, 11 November, OPFPRU ran a short 45-minute COVID-19 Rapid Response webinar which showcased three pieces of work, aimed at informing policy and practice, which will be of interest and relevance as we are in further national lockdown measures over winter.
This featured the following presentations:
- Measuring frailty in younger populations and the use of the clinical frailty scale in intensive and critical care settings - Dr Gemma Spiers
- Which remotely delivered interventions can reduce social isolation and loneliness among older adults - Dr Lis Boulton
- Digital technologies for falls prevention amongst older people during Covid-19 home isolation and physical distancing - Dr Lisa McGarrigle
The webinar video is now available to view on YouTube. To keep up-to-date with the OPFPRU future webinars, you can subscribe to their YouTube channel.
