Dozens of employers attend Calculating Careers Fair 2019

On Wednesday 2 October, the Department of Mathematics hosted the annual Calculating Careers Fair in the Alan Turing Building.

The event welcomed over 25 employers to give our students advice and guidance on how their degree can be put to use after study. Over the course of the fair, it was great to see the networking between students, employers and University staff members.

Mathematicians are in demand across a range of industries. Skills including problem solving, logical thinking, data analysis and interpretation are all of use across a variety of different careers.
