Leeds Neighbourhood Networks evaluation up for discussion at Ageing Better event

An evaluation of the ageing population will be up for discussion at a special event hosted by the Centre for Ageing Better in Leeds next month.

The meeting will give researchers the opportunity to help shape the commissioning process and hear about opportunities to bid for the work.

The independent charity, which hosts events and conducts vital research around longer lifespans and the changing landscape of society, is in the process of commissioning a circa £200,000 evaluation to explore community-based approaches to meeting the requirements of an older population.

By 2024, over one quarter of the population will be over 60, the Centre claims, and the Leeds Neighbourhood Network Evaluation event will serve as a platform to ensure that the evaluation will be designed in such a way as to properly understand how, why, for whom and in what context the Leeds Neighbourhood Network functions.

The free event will take place on 6th March at TheStudioLeeds, Leeds, and is open to researchers and bidders with an interest in forming partnerships.
