Leverhulme Early Career Fellowships - call for Expressions of Interest by noon, Monday 19 November 2018

The School of Social Sciences will submit two applications to the next round of the Leverhulme Early Career Research Fellowship scheme which opens on 1st January 2019.

The Leverhulme deadline for applications is of 28 February 2019 at 4pm.

The Leverhulme Trust will contribute 50% of each Fellow's total salary costs up to a maximum of £25,000 per annum and the balance is to be paid by the School. Given the prestige of the awards each Fellow may request annual research expenses of up to £6,000 to further his or her research activities.

Applicants must have a track record of research, but should not have held an established academic appointment.

Fellowships are tenable for three years on a full-time basis (part-time awards will be supported over a longer periods in some cases) and must commence between 1 September 2019 and 1 May 2020.

The School is pleased to invite Expressions of Interest (EoI), to be submitted by noon on Monday 19th November 2018. The EoI should be submitted to Gillian Whitworth and comprise (max 2 pages A4):

  • Project title
  • Brief summary of the project
  • Brief statement explaining how the project would fit with the School of Social Sciences

Please also submit a 2-page CV The two applicants selected by the School, to submit their bids, will be informed by 21st December 2018.
