Manchester graduate directs Pierrot Lunaire on tour
Manchester graduate Emma Doherty directs Schoenberg's surreal icon of Modernism, Pierrot Lunaire, on tour with the Manchester Collective in November 2018.
The production features mezzo Lotte Betts-Dean and is conducted by Timothy Burke.
The first half of the event is a deconstruction of the piece and process by NTS/BBC 6 Music broadcaster Elizabeth Alker.
The tour will visit Cobalt Studios/Newcastle, RNCM/Manchester, Penny Red Arts/Hull, Invisible Wind Factory/Liverpool, White Hotel/Salford, The Sonic Lab/Belfast and Leeds Town Hall/Leeds.
