MANTIS Festival continues to soar

The MANTIS Festival in October 2018 featured a series of full-to-capacity electroacoustic concerts.

This event took place in the John Thaw Studio Theatre, Martin Harris Centre.

The festival showcased new works by postgraduates based at the Novars Research Centre, premieres of commissioned works by Novars alumni Brona Martin and Danny Saul, work from participants of Seed Studios (Trafford) workshops, a performance of Dark Matter by the University of Birmingham's BEER laptop ensemble in collaboration with scientists from CERN, masterclasses and a launch celebration of the new album by Professor David Berezan, Cycle Nautique.

The Festival culminated in an evening of music at Beer Nouveau, a local working brewery pub.
