MICRA academics author article in the International Journal of Ageing and Later Life

MICRA's Tine Buffel and Samuèle Rémillard-Boilard have co-authored the new article about responses to the social exclusion of older people.

The article, which Tine Buffel and Samuèle Rémillard-Boilard co-authored along with colleagues from the Irish Centre for Social Gerontology and Vrije Universiteit Brussel, is titled ‘Age Friendly Approaches and Old Age Exclusion: A Cross-City Analysis’.

Released on 22nd July, it involves a cross city-analysis of age-friendly approaches and how they have responded to social exclusion in later life.

The article examines the potential of “age-friendly” city initiatives to reduce “social exclusion” in old age, drawing on the example of three European cities, Manchester, Dublin and Brussels.
