Music department alumnus to conclude appointment to prestigious scheme for composers

Jasmin Kent Rodgman is coming to the end of her time on the London Symphony Orchestra's prestigious Jerwood Composer+ scheme for 2017/2018.

Jasmin was a Manchester Music undergraduate between 2007 and 2010, and completed a MusM in Composition in 2011. The Jerwood Composer+ scheme helps early career composers to programme, plan and deliver chamber-scale concerts in the Jerwood Hall at LSO St Luke's.

Earlier this month, Jasmin put on a fascinating concert at LSO St Luke's that combined music, dance and electronics, exploring themes of movement, crossing borders and female self-censorship, and including premieres of two of her compositions, idol lost and CONTOUR.

Her final event as part of the 2017/2018 iteration of the scheme will take place on 24 November 2018 at the EFG London Jazz Festival.

Jasmin has previously seen her work performed at venues and events such as The Barbican, The Albany, Arcola Theatre, Grimeborn Opera Festival and Secret Garden Party Festival.
