NSU Delegation Visits GDI

NSU Delegation A high level delegation from North South University (NSU), Bangladesh visited the Global Development Institute (GDI) on Tuesday 11th September 2018. Established in 1992, NSU was the first private university in Bangladesh. Since its establishment, both its student intake and prestige have grown enormously. Over the years, a number of graduates from NSU have attended MSc and PhD programmes at GDI.

During their visit, the NSU delegation expressed their aim to strengthen further the cooperation with GDI. The discussions covered potential collaborations in areas such as student exchange visits, short courses, distance learning, mentoring, PhD supervision, and examining. The NSU delegation expressed their special interest in GDI’s academic excellence and were keen to engage with GDI's expertise in order to build the capacity of the NSU South Asian Institute of Policy and Governance (SIPG).

The NSU delegation to GDI included the Vice Chancellor Professor Atiqul Islam, Director of External Affairs Dr Katherine Marie Li and other senior members of the NSU’s Board of Trustees. Dr Farhad Hossain, Dr Aminu Mamman, Dr Chris Rees, Paul Barry MBE, and Dr Kate Rowlands met the delegation as representatives of GDI.
