Prof Louise Walker awarded Principal Fellowship of the HEA

Louise Walker, Professor of Mathematics in The University of Manchester's School of Mathematics, has been awarded the highest level of fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).

Professor Walker has received a Principal Fellowship of the HEA, becoming only the second person in the University's Faculty of Science and Engineering to be recognised in this way.

The award recognises Professor Walker's strategic influence in teaching, as well as her commitment to teaching, learning and the student experience.

Professor Walker applied for the fellowship through the University's Leadership in Education Awards Programme (LEAP).
