Renowned China experts deliver 2012 China lecture

This year’s China lecture at The University of Manchester is to be delivered by world renowned historian Professor Peter Perdue.

The event, hosted by the centre for Chinese studies and the Confucius Institute at The University of Manchester will be chaired by author of the best selling When China rules the World: the end of the Western World Martin Jacques.

Professor Perdue is author of China Marches West: the Qing Conquest of Central Eurasia, which analyses Imperial China’s expansion and development as a multi-national empire. He will discus cultural and material history of the Qing dynasty.

Martin Jacques is the author of the global bestseller When China rules the World: the end of the Western World and the birth of a new global order, the second edition of which has been published in paperback.
