SENSE-Cog seeking participants for ears and eyes dementia project

The SENSE-Cog project are looking at how we can improve hearing and eyesight to help people to live well with dementia.

It is locally coordinated from The University of Manchester and is recruiting until June 2021.

The SENSE-Cog team are looking for people who:

  • Are aged over 60 with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s or Vascular Dementia
  • Have hearing or eyesight problems (or suspect that they do)
  • Live at home rather than in a care home or nursing home
  • Have a family member or friend who is also willing to take part

They are also looking to recruit people who are aged over 60 with no cognitive difficulties who wear glasses or who have some eyesight problems.

Please note that all necessary precautions will be taken by the study team to minimise the risk of COVID-19 transmission during any home visits

SENSE-Cog are currently recruiting people living in Greater Manchester. If you are interested to know more, please get in touch with Zoë and we can send you out some detailed information sheets to read at your leisure.
