Student video competition launched by Manchester China Institute

The Manchester China Institute (MCI), in partnership with Creative Manchester, has launched the first UK-China video competition at The University of Manchester.

The competition has the theme of 'Friendship across cultures - UK & China' and was launched on Saturday 17 November in conjunction with International Students day.

The aim is to celebrate how multicultural and welcoming Manchester is. The competition will run until Tuesday 11 December 2018 on Twitter and Instagram.

The University of Manchester continues to be the proud home of thousands of international students and a vibrant international community of young minds, boasting the largest Chinese student community in Europe.

How to enter

You need to be a student at The University of Manchester to enter. All you need to do is to produce a video up to two minutes in length and post it to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #studentdialogue2018

The video can take any form, but it should clearly refer to the theme of 'Friendship across cultures - UK & China'. Each video should feature at least one Chinese and one non-Chinese student.

We can only accept one video per social media account.

Winners

A judging panel will review all entries, and there will be a number of prizes on offer.

The winners will be announced by 5pm on 12 December 2018. An award ceremony will be held on the morning of Thursday 13 December 2018.
