The SCI at the Manchester Histories Festival

The Manchester Histories Festival 2022 took place from Wednesday 8th June – Sunday 12th June 2022 and we are delighted to have seen several of our members and affiliated staff contribute to the event.

MCR Histories

Mat Paterson was part of a Manchester Histories Festival and Creative Manchester event on climate histories and politics with Vlad Jankovic and Aditya Ramesh.

The Cottonopolis Collective, which Ali Browne is part of, held an event at the Manchester Histories Festival about ‘Lessons for Environmental Science from Manchester’. This was led by Aditya Ramesh and Dr Jenna Ashton.

Former SCI PhD student Harriet Larrington-Spencer was part of a panel at Manchester Histories Festival to discuss 'Disability & Climate Activism: Setting an Inclusive Agenda'.

Helen Holmes, who is the Challenge Lead for Prosperous Futures of the Sustainable Futures platform, chaired a session on Sustainable Futures at the festival.
