UK ambassador to China visits the Manchester China Institute
The UK ambassador to the People's Republic of China has visited the Manchester China Institute (MCI) at The University of Manchester.
Dame Barbara Woodward OBE gave a lecture at the University on Monday 25 February titled UK-China in 2019: How Can Diplomacy Rise to the Challenge of the 21st Century?.
Prior to her lecture, Dame Woodward visited the Graphene Engineering and Innovation Centre (GEIC) accompanied by University President and Vice-Chancellor Dame Nancy Rothwell.
Dame Woodward then visited the MCI, where Professor Peter Gries briefed her on MCI's activities and its signature UK-China Diplomatic Dialogue programme.
