UKRI: new Open Access policy

The University’s largest research funder, UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), is introducing a new Open Access policy from 1 April 2022.

Through this policy UKRI is aiming to ensure that all of the research that it funds is immediately Open Access.

The Library is leading a project to support the implementation of this new policy, with colleagues from Research Services, Engagement, Digital Development and Projects and Business Analysis teams working together to provide support and guidance to researchers, including action they need to take.

The Library's Research Services Team will be holding online drop-in clinics from mid-March for anyone with questions about the new policy. Details of upcoming clinics will be shared via the Library webpage linked above in the next few days.
