Unlock Your Potential - Welcome Week 2021

Earlier this year, the Masood Entrepreneurship Centre and The University of Manchester Students’ Union (UMSU) launched a collaborative initiative to take forward a proactive and positive agenda for promoting entrepreneurship education, co-curricular activities, mentorship and the support needed to launch a start-up business, especially for increasing start-ups among international and female students.

This area of collaboration has been specifically defined as ‘Developing Entrepreneurship for All - to empower the next generation of student entrepreneurs to take control of their futures’.

As part of Welcome Week, this joint virtual event features MEC Director, Lynn Sheppard, in conversation with the former MUSU General Secretary Kwame Kwarteng and current General Secretary Melody Stephen, discussing what entrepreneurship is and its benefits to students and graduates.

The event also then showcases the entrepreneurial journeys of three of MEC's student ambassadors: Chrisoula Chappell, Mohammad El Hajj (Bright Biotech Ltd.) and Riddi Viswanathan (Generation Purple).
