Tom Jackson graduated from the University of Bath in 2007 with a first class degree in Biology (MBiol) following a successful placement at Cambridge Antibody Technology. He then obtained an MSc in Mathematical Biology at the University of Bath before moving to the University of Nottingham to complete an MSc in Stem Cell Technology. He then moved to Southampton, undertaking a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Following his PhD he took a position at the Institute of Cancer Sciences at the University of Manchester. His research interests include the response of cancer cells to DNA damage with a particular interest in the role of polyploidy and embryonic stem cell transcription factors in this response.
