Accommodation is likely to be the main expense for international students – costs can vary greatly depending on the size and facilities you require.
The University of Manchester has a great variety of affordable accommodation, both catered and self-catered.
If you choose University accommodation, the price will include:
- an Internet connection (where available);
- utility costs (gas, electricity, water);
- personal possessions insurance;
- welfare support staff;
- 24-hour security.
Private accommodation can be more expensive than University accommodation. However, you can still find some very good deals in Manchester.
If you choose to stay in private accommodation, the University has its own service, Manchester Student Homes, based on campus to help and advise you on finding accommodation privately.
