The cost of clothes in the UK varies enormously. How much you will spend depends on your budget.

Most students at the University dress in informal clothes, such as jeans, trousers or a skirt worn with a T-shirt or sweater.

If you need to buy clothes while you're in Manchester, you'll find shops catering for nearly every taste and budget here. Shops such as Primark, TK Maxx, H&M and some large supermarkets like Asda and Tesco, have inexpensive clothing lines. Shops such as Selfridges, Marks and Spencers and Debenhams are more expensive.

International students may find clothes very expensive in the UK in comparison to home. It might therefore be worth shopping for clothing in your home country before arriving in the UK.
