MA Healthcare Ethics and Law (Distance Learning) / Application and selection

Year of entry: 2020

How to apply

Advice to applicants

We require the following documents before we can consider your application:

  • Transcripts of your studies to date, officially translated into English
  • Degree certificate (if you have already graduated).
  • If you are not from or did not graduate from a majority English speaking country as defined by the UKVI we will also require proof of your English language ability. If you have already taken an English language qualification, please include your certificate with your application. We may be willing to consider your application without this document, but if we choose to make you an offer, the conditions will include IELTS (or equivalent qualification).
  • NOTE: You are not required to submit references as part of your application.  However, you must put the names and contact details of two academic referees on your application form and if we require the references we will contact the referees directly.

Apply online

The deadline for applications is 15 June for International applicants, and 15 August for Home/EU applicants.

If you are offered and accept a place of study on this course, we hope you will be able to attend our Induction Day on Thursday 24th September 2020. The day provides an introduction to studying law and ethics, together with information about accessing the online resources you will be using for the programme.  It is not compulsory to attend and you will receive all the necessary information online if you can not be there. However the day provides a good opportunity to meet with the tutors and your fellow students and you are strongly encouraged to come along if you can.

Re-applications

If you applied in the previous year and your application was not successful you may apply again. Your application will be considered against the standard course entry criteria for that year of entry. In your new application you should demonstrate how your application has improved. We may draw upon all information from your previous applications or any previous registrations at the University as a student when assessing your suitability for your chosen course.
