Entry is competitive on the Kelley-Manchester Global MBA programme. We look to admit the 'right' Manchester MBA person and are looking for the most talented candidates with the highest potential, not just those with the most experience or best test scores.

We take a holistic view when evaluating applications, paying particular attention to academic credentials, fast career progression, leadership characteristics and entrepreneurial talent. We assess your potential compared to peers to contribute to and enhance the diverse professional backgrounds, cultural profile and experience of the MBA class.

We use a wide variety of criteria to evaluate applications. The requirements below are assessed using all the application elements: application form, essays, references, CV/ résumé, degree and professional qualifications, admission test score, English level and interview. Decisions are made by consensus of the MBA Admissions Committee.

How to apply

The intake for the Kelley-Manchester Global MBA is in July every year. To apply you need:

  • At least three years' professional experience, plus evidence of strong career progression and a recognised degree. Alternatively, you may have eight to ten years' managerial experience instead of a recognised degree.
  • Successful completion of the Online Admission Test
  • An English language qualification if applicable
  • Excellent team working, communication, professional and interpersonal skills

This part-time MBA is delivered by US-based Kelley School of Business, a world-leader in the delivery of online MBAs, and Alliance Manchester Business School, a top 40 business school with six centres around the globe. You can meet us in person at MBA fairs worldwide or virtually at an online information session. We also hold regular information sessions in both Manchester and London which include programme presentations, taster lectures and Q&A sessions with students and alumni. Fees

Fees for entry in have not been set. For reference, the fees for the academic year beginning September 2018 were as follows:

  • MBA (part-time distance learning)
    UK/EU students (per annum): Fees collected by MBSWW
    International students (per annum): Fees collected by MBSWW

Policy on additional costs

All students should normally be able to complete their programme of study without incurring additional study costs over and above the tuition fee for that programme. Any unavoidable additional compulsory costs totalling more than 1% of the annual home undergraduate fee per annum, regardless of whether the programme in question is undergraduate or postgraduate taught, will be made clear to you at the point of application. Advice to applicants

To apply for the part-time blended learning Global MBA programmes at Alliance Manchester Business School, you need to complete an application form , take the Online Admission Test and submit your supporting documents.

You are also required to submit the following:

  • Two work related references
  • CV/resume
  • Degree/Professional qualifications transcript(s) and certificate(s)
  • English language test report (if applicable)
  • Photo/ name page from your passport

Decision process:

We will review your application when it is complete, including your application form and documents, and Online Admissions Test. If successful you will be offered a place or invited for an interview. Decisions are made by the consensus of the MBA Admissions Committee.
