Text reads: celebrating 10 years of Equity and Merit Scholarships

Since our Equity and Merit Programme first began in 2007, 206 scholarships have been awarded to exceptional individuals who have demonstrated both academic excellence and a commitment to the economic/social development of their home communities.

Ten years on, we're celebrating some of the achievements of these individuals, and the positive changes that a Manchester degree has enabled them to bring to their communities.

A trip to Uganda

University staff recently visited Uganda to meet some of our Equity and Merit alumni and discover the exciting work they're undertaking to transform their communities.
