Academic requirements

Applicants should have gained or be expecting to gain a relevant Masters degree with Merit, including 65% overall average, 65% in dissertation with no mark below 55%, or an overseas equivalent.

Studentships are allocated on the basis of the linkage of the research proposal to the research themes and academic merit.

Selection body

Departmental Selection Panel whose ranking is then confirmed by the School and final School rankings are referred to the Faculty of Humanities for a final decision.
