Academic requirements

Applicants must hold, or expect to achieve a Masters at Merit level, including 65% overall average, 65% in dissertation and no mark below 55%

This funding is available to students from the UK and EU.

Other eligibility criteria

In order to be considered for the PDS, an application for AHRC or ESRC funding must also be submitted (if eligible), by the stated deadlines.  Current PhD students are NOT eligible for PDS.

Applications will be ranked by the Department and School based on academic track record and quality of research proposal
