Who can apply?

Students apply through clearing for lots of different reasons. You may have changed your mind about the course you want to study or achieved different results from what you expected. You can apply if:

  • You've got your exam results but have not met the conditions of your firm or insurance offer. Your UCAS status will state 'You are now in clearing'.
  • You don't hold offers at any universities.
  • You're applying through UCAS for the first time after 30 June and already have your exam results.

Why Manchester

For 200 years, Manchester’s ideas have changed the world. Our exceptional students learn from world-leading minds, inspired by Manchester’s pioneering spirit. Humanity is at the heart of all we do – we’ll support you to make a difference.

Thinking of commuting to university?

At Manchester, you can shape your future while studying close to home.

Our campus is easy to get to on foot from the city centre and has two train stations (Manchester Piccadilly and Oxford Road) nearby. Or you could catch one of the regular buses, which have multiple stops throughout campus.
