BSc Physics with Philosophy / Entry requirements

Year of entry: 2018


A*A*A-A*AA (to include Physics and Maths). We would normally require a pass in the Practical Assessment in the newly reformed Science A Levels.


We would not normally accept 2 AS Levels in place of an A Level. Please contact the School over any special circumstances.

Subjects welcomed but not normally included as part of the standard offer

General Studies does not form part of our standard offer.

Unit grade information

The University of Manchester welcomes the provision of unit grade information which, like all other available information, will inform the consideration of applications.  Unit grades will not normally form part of offer conditions, except for Mathematics programmes.


Minimum Grade C in English Language (Grade 4 for applicants holding newly reformed GCSEs in England).

International Baccalaureate

37 points overall with 7,7,6 - 7,6,6 in Higher Level subjects (to include Physics and Maths)
