Grades AAB in three academic subjects excluding General Studies


We do not normally make offers based on AS level.  However, each application is treated on an individual basis.

Unit grade information

The University of Manchester welcomes the provision of unit information where available.  Like all other information provided by applicants this may be taken into consideration when assessing your application.  Unit grades will not normally form part of an offer conditions.


Minimum grade C in English Language, Dual Science and Mathematics (Grade 4 in the newly reformed GCSEs)

International Baccalaureate

35 overall with 6,6,5 in three subjects at Higher level.

GCSE grade C (Grade 4 in the newly reformed GCSEs), IELTS 6.0 with no subtest below 5.5 or an equivalent English Language qualification. 

English language test validity

Some English Language test results are only valid for two years. Your English Language test report must be valid on the start date of the course.
