Alumni Association Constitution

The new Constitution was passed at the Alumni Association Open Meeting on 4 April 2014. Our thanks go to our Chairman Janine Watson, Deputy President and Deputy Vice Chancellor Rod Coombs and all our colleagues and alumni who took part in the consultation process which has produced a robust, up-to-date and forward-looking document.

More information about the Alumni Association Constitution and alumni representation to University bodies can be found on Your Manchester Online.

Register of Voters

In accordance with the new constitution of the Alumni Association all alumni for whom the University has an active email address are automatically added to the Register of Voters. Members can opt out of the Register of Voters by contacting the Secretary to the Alumni Association: This register of Voters will include only members of the Alumni Association who are eligible to vote in elections and on constitutional matters, ie graduate members.

Those on the Register of Voters will be sent relevant notices relating to elections. If you wish to be on the Register of Voters you are encouraged to keep your contact details up to date. Newly received contact details will be applied to your alumni record within ten working days. You can check what details we have on record for you by logging into Your Manchester Online; you can also update your details there more quickly (three working days).
