Estelle.
This is a typical day in the life of Estelle, an Erasmus student from the Université de Rennes II in France. She is studying English.
Estelle at her hall of residence.
Estelle lives in Fallowfield, where there are numerous halls of residence for students. Finding accommodation was really easy - a couple days after speaking to the accommodation team she was moving into her new room.
View from the bus on the way to the University.
Like most students, Estelle starts her day by catching a bus to university. It only takes about ten minutes and there are lots if buses connecting the student living areas with the university campus - in fact, the main Oxford Road bus route is said to be the busiest in Europe, so there's no excuse for being late!
The John Rylands University Library.
Estelle stopped by at the library to pick up some books for her assignment. With over four million books and a wealth of electronic resources, the John Rylands University Library is one of the largest and best-resourced in the UK.
The Students' Union bar.
Estelle called in at the International Society, where she picked up a brochure on new events for international students, before heading for the Student Union bar to meet a friend for a drink.
Lunch in the cafe at University Place.
There are a range of food outlets across campus, catering for all diets and tastes. Estelle went to the food hall at University Place where she got some lunch in a cafe.
Shopping in Manchester.
At the end of her classes, Estelle caught the bus into the city centre where she did some shopping on Market Street and at the Arndale Shopping Centre.
