Olwen McNamara is Head of the School of Education. She is a Professor of Teacher Education and prior to her present role she was Head of Initial Teacher Education and also Director of Post Graduate Research Programmes. Her national roles include Chair of the Research and International Committee of the Universities' Council for the Education of Teachers, and she has served two terms as an executive member of the Council of the British Educational Research Association.
