Biography

I am a postdoctoral health psychology researcher with specific interests in health-related behaviour change, clinical communication, and health professional training. I have completed a PhD which focused upon investigating and designing obesity management education for medical students. This involved drawing upon existing evidence on behaviour change techniques and theories to inform undergraduate medical education in this area.

I have also worked on several other research projects related to supporting behaviour change with patients and health professionals. Topics have included the management of self-limiting respiratory tract infections, chronic kidney disease prevention, and health-related behaviour change (e.g. physical activity, diet, smoking, alcohol consumption).

I am currently a research associate for the IMPACT study which involves exploring psoriasis associated comorbidities and creating an intervention to promote improved healthcare for patients with psoriasis.
