Biography

I am a social statistician and have previously worked in Sheffield and Southampton. I moved to CCSR, Manchester in 1998. 

CCSR has now evolved into the Cathie Marsh Institute for Social Research (CMIST), within the discipline area of Social Statistics. 

I lead the statistical modelling group in CMIST

I am also on the executive committe of the Mitchell Centre for Social Network Analysis. 

I am director of PhD Study (PGR) in CMIST/Social Statistics.

  • BSc Applied Statistics (Sheffield Hallam);
  • MSc Statistics (Sheffield);
  • PhD Social Statistics (Southampton) –title: ‘Combining Census data to understand the multilevel structure of local populations’.
