Biography
Dr Eva Alfoldi is a Lecturer in International Business at Manchester Business School. She joined MBS in 2009 and holds an MSc in International Finance and a PhD in International Business from the University of Leeds. For her PhD, she obtained a prestigious national scholarship from the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS). Prior to embarking on her academic career, Dr Alfoldi worked as a financial analyst at J.P. Morgan in London.
Her current teaching interests include international marketing management, international business strategy and qualitative research methods. Her research interests include headquarters-subsidiary and inter-subsidiary relations in multinational enterprises; knowledge transfer and innovation; emerging market firms and networks (with particular focus on China and Central and Eastern Europe); and methodological issues in international business.
She is a member of the Academy of International Business (AIB) and the British Academy of Management (BAM) and regularly presents at international business conferences.
