Dr Sarah Knowles - personal details
Sarah completed her PhD in Psychology at the University of Nottingham in 2008. She moved into health services research in Manchester in 2009, working across a variety of trials of mental health interventions. She was based in the Centre for Primary Care, holding a Fellowship award with the National School for Primary Care Research, a collaboration of the nine leading academic primary care centres in England, before joining the Greater Manchester CLAHRC in 2015.
Sarah has worked on projects for the National Institute for Health Research, the Medical Research Council and the Economic & Social Research Council, including leading multisite qualitative research studies as part of randomised controlled trials and in pilot implementation phases. She is a Specialist Advisor in Patient and Public Involvement for the NIHR Research Design Service.
