Postgraduate research open days

Our postgraduate research open days give you a great opportunity to look around the University and find out what Manchester has to offer.

The schedule below shows the typical timetable for the day.

Tours of the following facilities will be available at this time:

  • Self-guided tours of the Main Library and Alan Gilbert Learning Commons study facilities
  • Campus tours led by Student Ambassadors

If you wish to take a tour of our Library facilities or the University campus, please report to the Welcome Desk (37).

11.30am–12pm

Arrival and registration

Ground Floor Welcome Desk, University Place (37)

Tea and coffee will be provided.

12–1pm

Networking lunch

Time for prospective students to network alongside faculty reps and current students, whilst viewing a selection of research posters.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.

1–1.30pm

Welcome presentation: An introduction to postgraduate research at The University of Manchester
