Postgraduate research open days

Our postgraduate research open days give you a great opportunity to look around the University and find out what Manchester has to offer.

Our next open day for postgraduate research will take place in October 2017 and the date will be advertised shortly.

Please see below for a typical timetable for the postgraduate research open day.

Tour of Main Library and Alan Gilbert Learning Commons study facility*

Tour will last approximately 40 minutes in total.

*You’ll be asked preregister for a tour when completing the open day registration form.

11.30am–12pm

Arrival and registration

Ground Floor Welcome Desk, University Place (37)

Tea and coffee will be provided.

12–12.30pm

Welcome presentation: An introduction to postgraduate research at The University of Manchester

University Place, Lecture Theatre B (37)

12.30–1.30pm

Research showcase and research development exhibition and lunch

Research poster exhibition with the opportunity to speak to current students, Researcher Development and Skills Training staff, and representatives from a number of other University services.

A sandwich lunch will be provided.

1.30–4pm

Faculty/School based activity
