Deadline for EPSRC Doctoral Prize applications approaching

Since 2010 we’ve invested £360,000 annually to foster the development of future world-leading researchers via the EPSRC Doctoral Prize fellowships. The application deadline for this funding is Monday, 15 September 2014.

The EPSRC Doctoral Prize is a prestigious scheme aimed at developing the very best EPSRC-funded students beyond the end of their PhD and helping them launch a successful career in research as potential future leaders.

Successful applicants will receive a challenging, high-quality personal and career development programme to advance their potential.

Successful applicants will be expected to take their research to the next level and undertake significant new research; the prize must not be viewed merely as an opportunity to continue/complete PhD work, although continuation of specific work from the applicants PhD that will result in publications will be permitted.

We welcome applications from both internal and external candidates. The latter must have secured an academic Project Sponsor based at The University of Manchester who is willing to host them and their work prior to application.
