Guided campus visits for Year 8 school groups

Guided campus visits for groups of up to 60 learners in Year 8 include a higher education talk, campus tour, student life workshop and chance to meet our current University students.

All visits start at 9.15am, ending at 12.30pm (lunch is not provided) and will be hosted at The University of Manchester main campus.

While visits are open to all schools, we highly encourage Greater Manchester schools with a high proportion of students receiving free school meals/eligible for pupil premium to book.

We particularly welcome students from widening participation backgrounds who:

  • are the first in their generation to consider higher education;
  • are care experienced;
  • live with a disability;
  • are young carers;
  • are estranged from their families;
  • are from underrepresented ethnic backgrounds;
  • are from Gypsy, Roma or Traveller communities;
  • are refugees or asylum seekers;
  • are from military families.

Visits will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, and no further dates will be added for the 2023/24 academic year.

Please note we are unable to visit individual academic departments or university accommodation.

If you interested in these events, please make a booking using our online form.
