Our postgraduate open day provides a great opportunity to take a look at the University and find out what Manchester has to offer you.
There will be an exhibition in University Place between 10am and 3pm. Here, you will be able to get valuable advice on postgraduate funding and careers, as well as information about life as a postgraduate student.
There will also be a series of short talks in University Place between 10am and 1.30pm covering a range of subjects of interest to anyone thinking of undertaking postgraduate study.
Each academic School within the University will be represented at the open day. They will host an information session in the afternoon and staff will also be available on a drop-in basis in the School.
Once you have registered for the day you will be sent further information about the timings and content of the School events. These sessions will offer the chance to gain more specific information about the course or subject area you are interested as well as to talk to staff and students.
The majority of these will run in the afternoon, although the actual times of each session will be detailed in the programme of events which will be sent to you once you have registered.
We look forward to welcoming you to the University and ask that if you intend to attend the open day you pre-register using the online form.
This will help us to ensure that you get the most out of your day and enable us to provide you with information prior to the event to help you plan your day.
We can help you plan your route to the University and find your way around once you get here. You can also book overnight accommodation if you need it.
The postgraduate open day is intended for both home and international students who are resident or studying in the UK. If you are an international student currently residing in your home country, then please visit the international section of our website to see if a member of University staff will be visiting your country.
If you are unable to join us for our open day, there are other opportunities for you to meet University representatives:
