Parent and prospective student visiting the university

Open days

Open days give you the chance to find out more about the challenges, opportunities and rewards of academic and social life at The University of Manchester – and explore our bustling campus and exciting city for yourself.

You'll learn about subjects that you’re interested in, meet current students and staff, tour our campus and facilities, and get a real feel for Manchester student life.

Forthcoming open days

  • Friday, 17 June 2016
  • Saturday, 18 June 2016
  • Saturday, 1 October 2016
  • Saturday, 8 October 2016

All open days run from 10am to 4pm.

To visit us on Friday, 17 or Saturday, 18 June, there is no need to officially register. Please download a copy of the open day programme and start planning your day. Just choose which sessions you want to attend.

You can also keep up to date with the latest news on our University open days on Facebook and Twitter.

We advise you to use public transport where possible, as parking is extremely limited on campus. For those travelling via Piccadilly we have a free link bus to our Oxford Road campus. If you’re joining us on Friday, 17 June, then you’ll need to download and print your bus voucher, as we cannot accept electronic versions, including those produced on all smartphones and tablets (one voucher per person). If you’re attending on Saturday, 18 June, you won’t need a voucher to access the free bus.
