Biography

David McCormick is a Lecturer in the Sensing Imaging and Signal Processing Group at the University of Manchester and the National Instruments Lead for the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. With over 10 years’ experience working for several multinationals and SMEs in the aerospace, semiconductor, and industrial software sectors, he completed his EngD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, his PgDip (Grade 1) in Management Sciences, and his BEng(Hons) (1st Class) in Electronic Systems Engineering. His professional awards include the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers (WCSIM) Beloe Fellowship, the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) Whitworth Visionary Award, and the Dick Cleland Prize. Dr McCormick is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), a Whitworth Senior Scholar (WhSSch), and is a member of both the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (MIEEE).
