An intensive research-led teaching role, which involves the supervision of over 20 research projects on the MSc programme in Restorative & Aesthetic Dentistry. Each project aims to develop an original RCT protocol (roughly 10,000 words) that can be undertaken in a primary or secondary care setting. The protocols are designed to meet the CONSORT criteria. The students are from different dental schools worldwide, with a wide variation in clinical and research knowledge. 60% of my students achieved a Distinction grade for their dissertation, and another 30% received a Merit.

Co-deliver the Research Methods course, that is delivered to 180 students from different disciplines across the Medical and Dental Schools. The course teaches essential research skills such as critical analysis, citation and plagiarism, research ethics, study design in different settings (experimental (RCT), observational and epidemiological) as well as evidence-based practice in dentistry/medicine.
