Biography

Fabio Gsaller joined the University of Manchester in 2013 and is a PostDoctoral Research Fellow within the Manchester Fungal Infection Group (MFIG). He has more than 7 years of research experience in molecular mycology and can provide expertise in the characterisation of fungal-specific, virulence-relevant pathways and regulatory circuits at the molecular level.


His previous work has included the fungal siderophore system and fungal iron regulation. Fabio has also worked on the development of novel genetic tools that facilitate genetic engineering in biotechnological relevant fungi.
